Chris Peregoy blends 40 years of photography with digital, traditional, and historic processes, creating images that explore forgotten and imagined memories.
From: Baltimore, USA
Shows: Vandykes
Chris Peregoy is an artist who has been actively showing photographically derived artworks for the past 40 years. Originally trained in traditional photographic practices, his current work crosses the boundaries between digital, traditional, and primitive photography and marries digital image-making with historic photographic processes and painting. His images often deal with forgotten or imagined memories.
“Currently I shoot quiet landscapes. I work with a range of sheet film cameras and vintage or homemade soft focus lenses. When I want to work quick I use Fuji X-Ray film in my Graflex Super D 3×4 camera. “
