Yaroslav Golubchyk, was born in 1971 in Kyiv, Ukraine. He has been working for more than 15 years in different techniques of alternative photography and also tutoring art photography for children and adults.

Yaroslav Golubchyk is searching for new non-standard techniques of print and improvements of known ones. To popularize alternative analog photo processes, he gives lectures, master classes, and performances, and publishes an author’s photo books. Worked on the creation of a series of photo illustrations in the associative surrealism style of a literary bestseller.

Yaroslav Golubchyk’s works, made in the techniques of alternative photography are in private collections and museums. Even during the Russian invasion in conditions of interruptions of electricity, heating, air alarms, and other consequences of Russian aggression, he continues to work on creating a series of works in the techniques of alternative photography.

For the author feeling of creative euphoria from a well-received print is the biggest motivation to make a new experiment and keep working.

“As one painter can’t create two identical paintings, same as for the world of alternative photography is impossible to receive two identical images.”

Here is the main idea of working with manual image printing methods. They are unique and original, unlike mass-produced digital prints.
