Katayoun provides a full range of bespoke workshops in Alternative Printing, with a specialism in Carbon Transfer printing in full colour and black & white, Cyanotype, Botanical Toning of Cyanotypes, Wetplate Collodion to produce both Ambrotypes and Tintypes and traditional Silver Gelatine printing and processing in the darkroom. She works with traditional silver halide negatives, FM imagesetter films and digital inkjet negatives. The break down of prices are listed below:

Full board accommodation can be provided to an International and UK based workshop participant or couple for £110 per day. There is a £45 additional charge for the 2nd person to cover food.

Mentoring is offered at £250 per day.

Private printing commissions are also considered on request.

Carbon printing:

Numbers limited to 2 people

Three Days: £900 + VAT pp

£300 per day for single and double transfer work, which includes all materials.

Five days: £1450 + VAT pp

£290 per day for single, double and triple transfer work over five days, which includes all materials

(4 DAY for those who have already attended a B&W workshop)

Six days: £1740 + VAT pp

£290 per day for single, double and triple transfer work over six days, which includes all materials

2 People attending a full colour and B&W workshop:

Seven days: £1540 + VAT pp

£220 per day (discount included), per person for single, double and triple transfer work over which includes all materials

 

Cyanotype:

The workshop includes all materials and cost would depend on numbers attending. Numbers of participants limited to 4. Dates are by negotiation.

This could be a one day introduction or 2 day advanced workshop to include calibration for producing inkjet negatives.

3 people or more pay £95 each

per day + VAT

2 people pay £130 each

per day + VAT

Individual tuition is £250

per day + VAT

 

Wet Plate Collodion:

£360 + VAT for three days, which includes materials. Numbers of participants are limited to 4, minimum of 2 people needed to run this workshop at this fee.

Individual private tuition is £250 + VAT per day. Dates on request.

 

Silver Gelatine:

Numbers limited to 1 person due to facilities available in the darkroom

The 1 to 1 tutorial can be tailored to suit your requirements either at the weekend or over several weeks as 3 hour sessions.

£95 + VAT per 3 hr induction session

£250 + VAT per day for mentoring and technical support

 

Darkroom chemicals are included for developing but you will need to purchase your own 35mm or 120mm film and multi grade papers – guidance on this is available on request.
