Substrate: Canson watercolour paper, 200 gsm
Created with: I made a composition using a filo bag and cut-outs from a lacy plastic towel. I closed the opening of the bag slightly to look like a flower pot. Next, I placed the paper with the composition on a wooden base, laid a glass on top, secured everything with paper clips and exposed it to the midday sun.
Exposure: 4 hours on two different days in January, Brazilian summer, 2024
Contrast: ✿✿✿ (High)
Challenges or observations: The pomegranate emulsion results in a closed shade of greyish purple. The contrast is excellent and the emulsion is easy to make and has a delicious fragrance. As the fruit contains sugar, you need to choose the right place for the paper to dry. Watch out for ants!
