Planket in Stockholm is an outdoors exhibition, in August!

  • Quick beginner’s demonstration of how to make cyanotypes
  • Books
  • Say hi!

Planket Stockholm began in 1982 when photographer Neil Goldstein was inspired by the outdoor exhibitions in Washington Square Park in New York. Together with photographers Irene Berggren, Lars Hall, Bror Karlsson, Gunnar Smoliansky and Rebecka Tarschys, he established a tradition of outdoor exhibitions on the red planks. Since then, Planket in Lilla Mejtens gränd has been arranged annually, with only a few short breaks.

The exhibition takes place on a weekend in mid-August, and in recent years it has coincided with the Nytorgsfestivalen. Each exhibitor is given one meter of the plank at their disposal for one of the days. Here, amateur photographers and future masters meet side by side with established and classic photographers.

Most recently, approx. 300 photographers participated and the event attracted an estimated 20,000 visitors.
