Pedro Mendes Leal was born in Lisbon, Portugal, and raised by the sea, from early his natural way of expressing himself was “art”. Completed his studies in Image and Audio-visual Communication and later Drawing, Archeological drawing, Scientific illustration, and Curator workshop. Professionally he works as a creativity manager in communication design, for projects like museums and other institutions.
His driving force has been the People and Open spaces; Time is present in everything he does.
Expresses himself by Photography and Drawing, trying to find a sense, by questioning the limits of perception and representation, formal and conceptually, and its implications in the art discourse, for man and society.
Nowadays, Cyanotype impels him to live his daily life as an exercise, with no need for a purpose or end in sight, other than feeling great.
