Paula Brasil is a Portuguese teacher born in Terceira, a Portuguese island that belongs to the archipelago Azores. She has a passion for “writing with light”. Paula’s interest in photography began with her father giving her his old camera. When Paula was 17 she assisted a photographer and learnt darkroom skills.
Her subjects are mainly places in the Azorean landscape, but she also likes to photograph whilst travelling.
Paula Brasil also collects antique photograph cameras.
“I am not a professional but photography is the most beautiful way that I found to express myself.”
