Palle Lindgaard-Jørgensen photographer

Palle Lindgaard-Jørgensen has worked with alternative photographic processes for more than ten years. He works with photo transfers, photogravure, xerolithography, cyanotypes and albumen prints.
From: Nærum, 18 km north of Copenhagen, Denmark.
Shows: Albumen prints, Cyanotypes, Phototransfers to metal, Photogravure and Xerolithography.

Palle Lindgaard-Jørgensen is an artistic photographer who always uses his own photos as a basis for the alternative photographic processes and experiments with the different expressions, one can get from the alternative processes. He works with transfers of photos from paper to metal where the metal shine can be seen through the transferred photo. Solar prints are exposed in the sun, colored and printed on a graphic press providing both the softness of photos but can also be colored to highlight elements of photos. In Xerolithography it’s a black and white copy added Gum Arabic which after coloring is used as the printing base. In the last couple of years, he has also experimented with cyanotypes which give a strong graphic expression and albumen prints which he feels are good for old buildings and objects.

“Alternative processes allow you to experiment and select the process which gives the best expression of your photographic work.”
