Extracted by: The cleaned oriental spruce cones were boiled in enough water to cover them. The resulting water was filtered and reduced over low heat to obtain the colour

Layers: Working surfaces were immersed in the obtained cone water and left until the paper was completely covered

Challenges or observations: The oriental spruce cones that had fallen from the tree have been collected, cleaned, and boiled in water. As the resin from the cones has been released during boiling, the cones have been removed, and the liquid has been filtered 2-3 times using cheesecloth. I dipped the paper in the solution and dried it when it had soaked up enough colour. Ripples were caused by the dipping process. After drying, I applied a layer of concentrated solution with a brush.
