Larz Grenier was born and raised in a small town in rural Maine and now resides in New Hampshire. From a young age, Larz’s fascination with drawing and painting became apparent, often encouraged and inspired by his father, a part-time wedding photographer.
During his high school years, Larz’s curiosity about photography flourished when he crafted a pinhole camera. The intrigue deepened as he borrowed his father’s Minolta camera, unlocking a new world of visual storytelling through the lens.
Larz Grenier artistic journey continued into college, where he pursued his education at Montserrat College of Art. In 2002, he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration. In his artistic endeavors, Larz explores a myriad of themes, including the allure of flora, the intrigue of fauna, the enigma of humor, and the fascination with the macabre. His works embody a distinct and captivating blend of emotions, making each piece an intricate expression of his inner thoughts.
