Jonah Calinawan, and accountant from Phillippines who turned cyanotype artist and moved to the USA shares his work.
Born in Philippines, from: Baltimore, Maryland, USA
Shows: Cyanotypes.

Born in the Philippines, Jonah Calinawan is an accountant turned cyanotype artist. He currently lives and works in the seaport city of Baltimore, Maryland, USA, where he combines autobiography and fiction to create stories with his cyanotype collages.

His ongoing photography project, A Million Suns, tells a story of one man’s search for his future. In Part II of this project (select images are featured in this gallery), he travels back in time to answer the question: how do we find the future? Are there signs or signals during childhood–harbingers of what one day we will become?

“I did not plan to be an artist, and yet I became one after buying a camera. I continue to photograph to understand where this unintended path will lead.”
