Javier De Reparaz was born in 1955 in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Basque Country, Spain. In 1991, he made a course where he learned to do cianotipias (cyanotypes) and gum bichromate. Since then, he has participated in several solo and group exhibitions. In recent years, he has learned the art of carbon transfer by the documents published on this website. So, he wants to thank all those who spread their knowledge on this site.
“The trees of my childhood are white. Memories are like photographies. They have some relation to reality, but we manipulate it to suit our desires and needs. Photography is like memories. Need some reality, but we process it to suit our desires and needs. Additionally, photography has as high a possibility of manipulation that is increasingly removed from that dream “objective reproduction of reality”. Reality is undergoing a process of virtualization that does not do need to leave your computer to produce images as the cultural model of Photography.”
