Challenges or observations: The colour shifts with pH from deep red to dark blue, depending on the paper. I obtained deep red on Canson Masa, purplish red on Arches Hot Press, and almost violet on Canson XL. At a high level of alkalinity, the colour shifts to yellow after a few months. The exposure time is really long. After 6 weeks, there is no pure white, but there is a lot of detail in the midtones.
Additional information: The plant also goes under the names Honeyberry, Blue honeysuckle and Swamp Fly honeysuckle. In Japan, haskaps have long been known as the berry of long life. Blue on the outside and dark purple on the inside, the intense purple colour of the haskap flesh reveals its high concentration of anthocyanins, powerful and widely studied polyphenols that give this berry its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
