Post it on your social media and tag it with #greenfridaychallenge and our tag and we will share. Here are our tags:
5 GREEN photography suggestions
- Find plants in nature or at home to do anthotypes with.
- Find an old tin and make a pinhole camera or even a Solargraph.
- Find some leftover Black&White paper and reate a Lumen print.
- Find a leaf and make a Chlorophyll print.
- Check the drawer with “failed prints” if you have one. Take one and print something on top.
If you don’t want to take part in the challenge, we still suggest you…
- Get outside in nature. Science shows it is de-stressing and extremely good for our health.
- Spend time with family or friends and do something nice for someone, like showing them how to do alt. proc.
- Take time to create something. Take a step back from the day-to-day stuff, and see what you come up with.
BUY NOTHING DAY
– 29th of November 2024
Try to buy NOTHING for a whole day. It seems simple, but can be harder than you think. Don’t buy lunch. Don’t buy a bus ticket. Don’t even buy a coffee..! It is a great way to be aware of how much we consume. Instead, why not invite a friend and share your printing passion with them? If you need to brush up on instructions, check out the A-Z of alternative processes. Free of course!
CIRCULAR MONDAY – 25th of November 2024
The Monday before black Friday is Circular Monday and a great time to reuse something. Rummage around the house for something to repurpose into a pinhole camera!
GREEN FRIDAY – 29th of November 2024
On the same day as Black Friday, it is also GREEN FRIDAY. How going REALLY green? Get creative and make some green prints! In our Anthotype Emulsion database – there are plenty of green examples.
Enjoy being nice to the planet!
