Glen Echo Photoworks Alternative Photographers is a unique community of photographers, located in the arts colony of Glen Echo Park, near Washington, D. C. Glen Echo Park is a wonderful place, steeped in history, having at one time been a Chautauqua retreat, and then an amusement park.

Photoworks operates weekly classes, weekend workshops, open darkrooms, digital labs, monthly critique sessions, lectures, and regularly changing gallery exhibits.

Our “alternative” group grew out of a series of weekend workshops in the temperaprint process.
