Experimentalphotofestival is a non-profit cultural association based in Barcelona, Spain, whose objective is to create, promote and disseminate experimental photography in all its forms and throughout the world. It is responsible for the organization of the Experimental Photo Festival and the Ágora, school of experimentation.
Who can participate in the Experimental Photo Festival 2023?
The Experimental Photo Festival is open to photographers of all levels (consolidated or beginners), techniques (analogue and digital), and countries and languages, interested in any and all aspects of experimental photography. The general registrations are open now! It gives you the right to participate in workshops and conferences and to present a dossier to be studied by the curators for the exhibitions. At our festival, everyone can show their work, doing workshops or conferences or participating in exhibitions. If you can’t come to Barcelona, don’t worry! In the month of June, we will present the online festival where you will be able to see all the conferences and do 5 exclusive online workshops.
When and where will it take place?
The festival begins on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. with the opening of the exhibitions. Accreditations begin on Wednesday, July 19 at 9:30 a.m. at Pati Llimona Civic Center, at 10 a.m. the Volkurs (Preliminary Course) begin and from 3 pm the workshops, conferences and debate spaces until 7:00 p.m. At night we will also have the opening of exhibitions and various cultural activities between Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya and Nau Bostik. The festival ends on Sunday the 23rd at night. The complete program will be able to be consulted in the month of April.
