Opening 9th September 2022 at the RPS gallery, Bristol, UK.
The new exhibition at the Royal Photographic Society Gallery explores how eight photographers are using traditional techniques and approaches in their work to address contemporary issues and demonstrate the beauty of the photographic image.⁠
The works on show reveal radical experiments with photographic processes and include gum printing, albumen printing, salt printing, cyanotypes, daguerreotypes, pinhole and cameraless imagery.⁠
The exhibition is curated by Zelda Cheatle @cheatlezelda and features work by Takashi Arai @daily_dag , Susan Derges @susanderges , David George @davidgeorgephotography , Joy Gregory @joy_gregory_studio , Tom Hunter @tomhunterphotography , Ian Phillips McLaren @ipmclaren , Céline Bodin @celine_bodin and Spencer Rowell.⁠
