Call for entries: Christmas cards 2023

To help spread the word of alt. proc. we are doing Christmas cards that can be sent to friends and family – as this may inspire someone to start their own journey of alt. proc. photography!

We hope you took lots of photographs during the Christmas holiday of 2022, that can be used for the Christmas cards of 2023.

A number of prints will be selected for AlternativePhotography.com greeting cards. We are hoping for a wide range of different alt. proc. processes to show them off, so if you are working in gum bichromates, platinum palladium, salt prints, carbon printing, cyanotypes, anthotypes or any other alternative photographic process, you are welcome to enter your print. Use a familiar process or take the opportunity to learn a new process for the event.
The cards will be sold on AlternativePhotography.com.
Any profits from sales of the cards will contribute towards the costs of running AlternativePhotography.com.

This event is open to Supporting Members.

Format: We are currently looking for a platform to publish the cards, on, when we decide, we will announce the format. (We’re still looking into where to print them, any suggestions are welcome!)

Opens: 1 of June 2023

Deadline: 24th of June 2023 (yes, 6 months before Xmas which will give us enough time to have them ready for Christmas 2023).

The smallprint:

• The cards will be sold on AlternativePhotography.com and / or on the platform that produces them (we’re still looking into where to print them, any suggestions are welcome!)
• You still own the copyright to your prints, but by entering you give us permission to use them, print them and sell the cards with the print on
• Any profits from the cards will go towards running AlternativePhotography.com
• The cards may be sold for one year or more
• Entry is not a guarantee for publishing
