James Sedwick, a graduate of Gannon University and SUNY at Buffalo, retired from the practice of psychotherapy in 2015. He lives in South Wales, N.Y. He has photographed and sculpted since high school and shows his work with the Buffalo Society of Artists and at Meibohm Fine Arts. In addition, his photographs have appeared in The Sun and Orion magazines, the journal Steam Ticket, LensWork Extended 99, Looking at Images (LensWork Publishing), and have been included in private and public collections. He studied with Andrea Modica, Keith Carter, and Dennis Stock.

James Sedwick prints his images in the darkroom with alternative process chemistry and sculpts in wood and stone. His poetry has appeared in Blueline, Passager, Gentle Strength Quarterly, Passages North, The Buffalo News, Uncharted Lines: Poems from the Journal of the American Medical Association (Boaz), Celebrations (July Literary Press), and Hello, Goodbye: Stories, Essays and Poems for the 21st Century (July Literary Press).
