Every month we send out a newsletter, IF there is something new to tell most of the time there is. Here’s the story so far:

  • June/July 2013 – Mordancage process: The mordancage process produces beautiful images and can be done in many variations. Elizabeth Opalenik shows us how she works and her inspiring images.
  • May 2013 – Silver gelatin experiments: Solarization, layering negatives and lumen printing. Plus 3 new artists.
  • April 2013 – Pinhole movie, Inkjet transfers, Photography on wood and Film acceleration.
  • February 2013 – Wetplates, now in blue! Elizabeth Graves builds a camera and 3 new artists.

  • December 2012 – Iron salts, a short treatise.

  • October 2012 – The 12 winners of the 2013 calendar competition… and the calendar.
  • September 2012 – Salt prints – learn from Ellie Young and her Salt print manual, plus 2 new artists.
  • August 2012 – Chemilumens, 4 news artists and new book on Kirlian photography.
  • July 2012 – Acrylic lifts and transfers and 2 new artists.
  • June 2012 – Tests of anthotypes an different papers and 3 new artists.
  • May 2012 – A book review, the last few days of free book offer and a new platinum and palladium artist.
  • April 2012 – Bordering on alt. proc. are processes like hand-coloring b&w photography and transfers in acrylic. Two articles show you how. There are also 3 new artists showing their work and the offer of a free pinhole book that is still on.
  • March 2012 – Free pinhole book.
  • March 2012 – an unusually large number of people sent in articles here are three of them.
  • February 2012 again – 3 new artists have entered their work, 3 of our Open bloggers have been writing and there is a new version of the Chrysotype process – from Texas.

  • October 10 – Toning organically and Impossible project silver shade polaroid and new artists.
  • September 10 – 2011 Calendar competition.
  • August 10 – Interview with Joy Goldkin, new gum process and 5 new artists.
  • July 10 – Multi-pinhole cameras: how and why, bromoil history and two new artists.
  • June 10 -Polaroid SX-70 manipulations are back – with a video. Plus work from over 10 photographers.
  • May 10 -Diffusion magazine, volume II finally here, plus 3 new artists and 2 new art books on pinhholing.
  • March 10 – Launching our new website! Lots of new features: classifieds, comments, open blog. And 4 artists with new work.
  • February 10 – 6 new artists
  • January 10 – Gum printing for beginners, and share your ideas.
  • January 10 – Put yourself on our Google map, join our new Flickr group and see some inspiring work.
  • December 09 – Some serious research – at molecular level – is taking place at the Getty Conservation Institute
  • December 09 – Winners of the competition for the three books. New artists, and more work from “old” artists.
  • November 09 – Robert Hirsch’s third edition of Photographic Possiblities, and a chance to win a copy.
  • November 09 – Brian Krummel’s new pinhole book: The Pinhole Camera
