Uppsala Photographic Society was founded in 1941 and like all "camera clubs" it has had its ups and downs over the years. Some years back the number of members has started to increase rapidly and the studio, photographic gallery and two darkrooms run by the society are back in frequent use. Several of the members have started gum printing and collaborative work on cyanotypes, photopolymer, carbon and vandykes. Maria Ahlberg has, so far, led two gum printing courses, and more workshops in alt. photo techniques are planned.
