Historical photographic methods in use today – the art, processes and techniques of alternative photography. Photography as it should be: hands on, fun and inspiring.
Tamas Varga was born in Debrecen, Hungary. He earned a degree in Faculty of Medicine and is currently working as a child psychiatrist.
Tamas has been working in photography for over ten years. He has spent a large part of his spare-time working with many different historical and alternative processes, like camera obscura, oil print, gum print, kallitype, cyanotype, nitro-transfer.
Some of his pictures are taken with special, self-produced pinhole cameras on different photosensitive materials such as negative film, printing technique film, x-ray film. This makes the pictures seem dreamlike.
Tamas is a member of the Association of Hungarian Photographers.
