Historical photographic methods in use today – the art, processes and techniques of alternative photography. Photography as it should be: hands on, fun and inspiring.
Sally Auman has enjoyed photography off and on since the 70s when she took a couple of color and black and white film photography courses at a local junior college. She dabbled in film processing and print making at the school lab and her father's studio. About 4 years ago she began experimenting with the Polaroid transfer process using a Daylab Copy SystemPro, emulsion lifts, and inkjet transfers. She eventually wants to work with digital negatives and other alternative processes and mixed media incorporating photography.
"Combining old ways of doing with new ways of thinking yields pleasant surprises. It is like taking a trip without leaving the house."
