Olga Yakovleva is Russian. She lives and works in Moscow. Olga has been practicing photography for 14 years. In 2004, Olga started to work with alternative ways of artistic photoprinting, after graduating from Moscow University for Culture and Arts, the Faculty of Photography, Photographic Artistry Department.
When creating her series of works, Olga attaches great importance to perfection of utterance from the point of view of the dramaturgic task, director's elaboration and adequate plastic realisation of the theme; she adheres to high technology of performance requiring much skill and many years of practice. Those principles are the basic principles of easel photography.
Olga works with processes as Silver gelatinprints, Liquid Emulsion, Oil prints, Cyanotypes, Gum bichromates, Gumoils and Gum Tricolor.
