Historical photographic methods in use today – the art, processes and techniques of alternative photography. Photography as it should be: hands on, fun and inspiring.
Olga Savielieva, became interested in photography in 2005. Since then, she is a physicist during working hours and a keen photographer during her free time.
Her special area of interest is alternative photographic processes. Olga also experiments with vintage style optics like pinhole and one-element meniscus soft lenses also known as "monocle". The photographs here are shot using pinhole camera. The printing is done in traditional fashion from silver-based negatives (6x12cm or 4x5") using the ziatype process.
Olga lives and works in Moscow, Russia.
