Sonia Macak a Full Moon Born Aquarian... troubled soul and beautiful loving person with occasional outbursts of anger and despair. Being diagnosed with borderline personality disorder her journey here on Earth has been full of feelings... some of them for a long time very difficult to feel and understand... so after long years of suffering she learned to take the choice, leave suffering to its own and found sanctuary in the darkroom and in the sound of violin. Now I she is slowly learning to transform the endless wells of overwhelming feelings into something beautiful... and sometimes share it with the world.
Born in former communist Czechoslovakia, Sonia now lives in Australia with her loving husband and three beautiful sons who are the main subject to her life and photography inspiration.
"Photography is like the language of my soul, heart. Different processes like different words which help me to share what I feel. I have always been drawn to old. It was not until a year ago that I found the courage to take the path and started expressing my feelings and self truly with collodion, and silver … now I am loving it."
