    Frank was born 1948 in Berlin. There he studied Communication at the University of Arts in Berlin with a degree in Design. For 30 years he made a career in advertising and marketing.

    In 2004 he started to work as a visual artist and enjoys working with alternative and historical photo processing to present his art. His photographic art has been exhibited in many venues, resulting in some prizes and publications.

    Besides the artistic work he is involved in improving the social status of artists as member of the board of the professional association of visual artists in Nuremberg during the last years.

    He lives and works in Ansbach, Bavaria, Germany.


    "I love to work with cyanotypes. It is simple, cheap, non-toxic and allows a broad variety of postediting. I can experiment with a lot of materials like different papers, stones, glas - and can colour the prints afterwards, put gold on it, scratch the surface. Or whatever It is an endless creative process...."
