Robert A. Schaefer, Jr. has been working in fine art photography for over 40 years. His imagery has been greatly influenced by architecture with a BA of Architecture Degree from Auburn University in Alabama and a Diplom Ingenieur Architekt Degree from the Technical University in Munich, Germany. Schaefer’s gelatin silver, cyanotype and other 19th Century processed prints have been exhibited and are part of major collections in the US and Europe includeing the Musuem of Modern Art in New York, City, the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris, France and the Stadtmuseum of Munich, Germany. His expertise in photography is passed on to students during his workshops for Penumbra Foundation (www.penumbrafoundation.org) In New York City.
