Photographic Possibilities

The Expressive Use of Ideas, Materials and Processes

Robert Hirsch, John Valentino

UK/Europe: Buy 'Photographic Possibilities' from Amazon.co.uk

USA: Buy 'Photographic Possibilities' from Amazon.com

Although this edition (2nd edition, 2001) feels a little dated with a large portion of the images in black and white and school book layout, it does cover a wide range of photographic materials and discusses the possibilities of using different techniques. It also branches out to different film, paper and toners. Not a book to be read cover to cover, but indeed a well researched reference book to keep.
Recommended for the experienced photographer.
