It not only gets into detailed chemical formulas, but also offers very helpful hints with many how to photographs on all aspects of different processes by its very experienced author. For photographers it may easily become what The Joy of Cooking is to seasoned chefs - when in doubt the definitive answer. Instead of greasy fingerprints on favorite recipe pages, there will be plastic glove marks in the various colors of cyanotype, platinum, palladium or one of the other processes.
