Susan has been working with Printing-out Paper since she became entranced with the potential colours and the closest process to Albumen. She used to use Kodak Studio Proof but; has found the quality of Kentmere's POP much better. It is distributed by Chicago Albumen Works in North America.
I love contact printing because it the closest thing to magic- to be able to see the image print out on such lustrous paper continues the tradition of photography.
Susan uses gold toner, sometimes platinum toner to achieve a warm tone to each print. Each print is unique- the prints can never be duplicated. She doesn't do much travelling as most people as she finds a lot of beautiful locations close to her on the West Coast of Canada. She especially like the Prairies east of me for their rare short grass environments and wonderful rural churches.
