Sanjoy gave up "the conventional logic" of an MBA to follow his inner eye at the Parsons School of Design, New York City. He is now a professional photographer based in New Delhi, India.
Specializing in advertising, fashion and people, Sanjoys photographs have won entries in numerous competitions. He has also exhibited in major cities of India.
Sanjoy has apart from other things, documented the life of a 12-year-old boy that has been published inIf I were rain: a book celebrating the spirit of India's urban disadvantaged children. He also conducted a pinhole camera workshop with a group of 12 young children hailing from different underprivileged backgrounds.
The fun of experimenting inspires me to take time out from my
commercial commitments to pursue a range of personal projects. Seeing, as they say, is believing.
