Peter started taking pinhole photographs in 1992, after discovering the technique in The Pinhole Journal. Through experiments, he discovered a new and semi-surrealistic world of imagery. Peter tries to exaggerate the apocalyptic feeling in the images with the combination of camera choice, printing technique and subject matters – abandoned places, straggling twigs and branches. He lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. He prints negatives on the inkjet and exposes them with a solarium. Most images are taken with an old modified bellows camera for 120 film.
“Most of the printing techniques I've tried were rejected, since they didn’t match the somewhat disastrous feeling that I want to have in these series. Upon discovering cyanotype and Polaroid transfer, I found that these techniques could reinforce the expression that I wanted.”
