Nova Sy was born and raised in Hong Kong, Sy becomes an active filmmaker and visual artist after her graduation from the Cinema and Television department at the Hong Kong Baptist University in 2004. With a passion for still photography, Sy moved into the photography industry learning and improving her skill in all round. Sy started working in alternate photographic processes since 2001. Sy work on alternate image both inside darkroom and on location. Her work has been published on various magazines and culture book in Hong Kong.
