Michael John Andersen, has photographed since childhood. He received many awards during his young age. Following this he continued has education in photography by attending Ohio University School of Photography. Here he studied photography under such famous photographers as Clarence White and Arnold Gasson. After his college education he worked as a professional from portraits to architecture.
With a strong feeling for nature and the environment, Michael got away from the hum drum daily work in photography and concentrated on those things that gave him a feeling of enlightenment when photographed.
After twenty years of photographing Michael took some time away from photography to refresh himself. Then 12 years later he found the vision again, to produce the quality of work only he could be happy with. Taking workshops from greats like Clyde Butcher, Fred Picker, Michael Smith and Paula Chamlee, and studying others greats like Ansel Adams, Edward and Brett Weston, Paul Strand, he has found a new vision to photograph the area he loves now, Florida.
