Malin grew up in Örebro, Sweden. In her early twenties she moved to London and earned an M.A. in Design studies at Central St. Martin's School of Design. Her thesis on alternative photography and the research behind has evolved into this website: AlternativePhotography.com. Malin still actively manages the expansion of the site as editor, runs workshops, is the co-author of Blueprint to cyanotypes, and the editor of Alternative Photography: Art and Artists, Edition I. She has a strong interest in all alternative processes. Malin now lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden with her husband, Gary, and their two sons, Maximillian and Ruben.
