Jennifer Linnea Daly was born in St. Louis, Missouri and is one of the fourth generation of artists in her family. She worked in financial services for 15 years before returning to school to study photography. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2006. That summer Jenn and her husband, Brooke, moved to Northern California, so Jenn could pursue a Masters in Fine Arts at California State University-Chico. She is currently completing the degree and will graduate in May 2009.

Jenn's MFA thesis exhibition is a collection botanical specimens printed using anthotypes exploring the effects of time and exposure on the natural world. She is also interested in exploring ideas of sustainable art practice through using recycled and renewable resources in her artwork.

She currently lives in Magalia, California, in the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada.

"Since my work is concentrated on photographing the landscape, I need to think about my impact on the environment around me. I can’t talk about the environment without considering the materials I am using."
