Jarryd discovered the world of alternative photography a couple of years ago after being exposed to platinum prints in a local gallery. As a painter, the effect of painted emulsion around the photos and the fine art characteristics of the prints appealed to him greatly.
For me, the tediousprocess of making a single print add to its value and gives the photograph a more personal touch than conventional methods.
Jarryd uses a Linhof 4x5 and make direct contact prints into moleskine journals. This way he can catalogue all my formulae changes and exposure times.
