Born to Colombian parents in Queens, NY USA 1967. While living and studing in NYC, James assisted some of the leading phographers in portrait and fashion.
While assisting and sharpening his own craft, James was exposed to alternative processes from the early 19th century. James currently lives in Zürich, Switzerland with his wife Natalie, were he continues to explore alternative processes, mainly wet-plate. All images here are ambrotypes on black glass.
