Farah Mahbub was born in Karachi (Pakistan) in 1965. She says 'Being
a female in a third world Muslim country was never really a disadvantage'.
Technology took long to reach her. No branded pre-mixed photo chemicals
where available so she bought the chemicals separately, and used
formulas found in the books and magazines. Interest developed in
the old Alternative photography processes. To Farah it is a silent
pleasure for the eyes of the soul.
Farah says about her work:
"Twelve years into photography, has been a complete high do not know what profession I would have had if not this one."
