Elizabeth Holmes was born in Brooklyn, New York and now divides her time between New York City and the Long Island's East End where she enjoys photographing local landscapes. She earned a B.A. at Fordham University and studied photography at the New School, the International Center for Photography and The Center for Photography at Woodstock.

Elizabeth has exhibited her photographs in numerous galleries including the Levitas Center for the Arts at the Southampton Cultural Center, Lana Santorelli Gallery, The Center of Fine Art Photography, New Century Artists, Elaine Benson Gallery, Gallery North, Conant Hall Gallery, Kirkland Arts Center and the East End Arts Council. Her work is included in the corporate collections of Latham & Watkins, Pfizer, SF Ritz Carlton, and in many private collections.

"I use infrared film to create images that suggest a sense of timelessness and then hand paints them with oils and pencils to add an impressionistic quality."
