Eduardo was born in San Salvador, El Salvador. The streets of San
Salvador taught him photography. He moved to Lawrence, Kansas by
chance and to study. In 1995, he received a B.S. in Journalism from
the University of Kansas. Returned to El Salvador where his work
illustrated more than six books and was presented in local venues.
In 1998, he moved back to the United States. Currently, he lives
in Saint Louis, Missouri where he is hitting again the streets with
his camera.
Eduardo is something of a vagabond with a camera. He drives or walks
for hours around abandoned neighborhoods, cemeteries, parks, or
any place where his camera can capture a feeling of the space he
visits. His work is an experiment that search to translate the images
in his mind through digital manipulation. Textures, people, nature-anything
can be captured. He works with digital negatives and feels that
the digital camera allows him to get an image without thinking.
Just an image-just instinct.
"The balance of the creative process comes through
cyanotypes, polaroid transfers, polaroid manipulations, or hours
in front of the computer for which patience is vital."
