Psychological and spiritual realms are the primary thrust of Donna's art. She uses symbols such as pre-historic icons, cave markings, and fossil bones, and wishes to explore how such instinctual archetypal forms tap into deeper, unconscious forces in us and to create a dialogue between the ancient and contemporary.
She works primarily with 19th century photo processes, for these hands-on, time-intensive processes seem particularly appropriate for her subject matter.
Donna is shown in galleries across the US, and is the recipient of numerous grants and awards.
