David is both French and British. He was born in France in 1950. He retired from the French Railway in 2000 and since then he has devoted himself to photography and alternative process in particular. He was lucky enough to increase his knowledge in printing with George Fèvre who worked with the famous French photographers Doisneau and Cartier-Bresson. This is how he learnt to get the best out of negatives. He is self-taught in alternative process: Gum bichromate, cyanotype, Vandyke.
David lives in Savoie in France in the middle of a natural park where he finds inspiration for his work.

A photograph is never complete. You can always go further in your research by enhancing the details
