Alex Tymków is a photographer and Senior Photography Technician in the School of Media & Photography, University of Plymouth, UK. Alex Tymków I live in Devon in the South West of England. Obtained a BA in Photography at the Polytechnic of Central London. Was a freelance photographer and part-time lecturer for many years. I have worked over a wide area of practice including, theatre and dance, publishing and rural documentary. I have exhibited my work and published articles in various photo magazines. I now work as Photography Technician at the University of Plymouth. My Current work is involved in researching the relationship between alternative photographic processes, silver printing and digital imaging. My principal interests lie in the areas of landscape, constructed photography and the history of the medium.
